newbie qestion: how to log on

hi !

i just installed a 8.1.7 on windows 2000 to have a look on the dbm against ms sql and other...

there is a nice "enterprise manager".. but if i try to log on.. it get a strange error:
"vtk-1000" wich tells me, taht it IS possible to log on (mybe it means NOT possible), i should check the credentials... ?!?

i tried sysman / oem/temp ; sys / change_at_install ; system / manager .. non wored... mabay i don´t understand what i should put in as the managent server...

the machine is a member-server in a active directory.. if i type "localhost" it is change to the fully qualified name i also tried the name of the database(SID) with or without the domain...

i have no clue of how to get in...
