This is an unjustified complaint.
Your 7.1.x version dates from the time they were still sending out printed desupport notices to every individual customer. Either your firm ignored the desupport notice, or they decided not to do anything about it.
In both cases that is pretty damn stupid. We are talking about sw that was desupported more than 4 year ago!!
