Snapshot refresh takes longer time than initial creation.

It is a readonly snapshot for a table that has 20M rows and took 26 hours to create. In a subsequent manual refresh using dbms_snapshot.refresh('owner.snapshot','f') which has about 2M new rows and has been taking more than 48 hours now and still counting. Both the master and snapshot site is of

8.1.7 version.
1. Anyone else has experienced this? and what are the reasons behind it
2. How to speed it up.

There is no wait event on the session or on snp. The only event shows up is "SQL*Net message from dblink" which has zero wait time. The job is still going as the undo blocks in the RBS is noticeably growing steadily. Received on Tue Mar 12 2002 - 17:39:42 CST
