This is my situation:
two IBM windows 2000 servers.
On first server there was installed Oracle 8.1.7 standard edition and contain one database.
On second server there were installed some Delphi applications and terminal services.
Both servers have a NIC with load balancing and use panda platinum 6.23 antivirus.
Some users works with remote terminal server session and that's ok. In this case application server is an Oracle 'client'. Some users works locally in LAN connecting to the database server through the application server, random they receive a message like '...not connected to oracle...' while using applications. It happens on several w2k pro workstation.
These workstation have an Oracle 8.1.7 client installed with 5.1.1 Borland database engine.
Could be an Oracle bug or depend from network and hardware configuration?

Any idea is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
