Yep. The server doesn't need a framebuffer or to run Xsun. If you need a GUI access to the server, use a workstation or an X terminal. Everything that needs to be done on the console can be done through a serial connection.

KVMs are a solution for a Windows problem, ie that the GUI is the only way to perform certain operations, and that it's not network aware like X.
