Hi,

The Oracle export/import utilities are intended for moving data between Oracle databases and they use own file format. If you want to move data to Oracle from an other database (MS SQL Server, IBM DB2 and so on) consider using Oracle SQL Loader.
SQL Loader can move data into Oracle from flat files.
