But if you run a small company, charge reasonable prices and deliver results and you try to get into a project where management wants one of these large consultancy companies to be there, you watch how immaterial financial impact suddenly becomes. Even though they managed to squeeze *you* down to the bare minimum profitability.

Particularly so when there is a job for the manager at the end of the project, with said consultancy company.
