I want my clients to hook up to a cluster using TAF - I've got following 'situation' ...

  1. Oracle 9i (9.0.1) RAC on Win2000
    • 2 nodes - instance names
      • socmut1
      • socmut2
    • DBNAME
      • socmut
  2. three types of clients using SAME tnsnames.ora/sqlnet.ora (see below) Client 9.0.1
    - can connect to @socmut1, @socmut2
    • can connect to @socmut

Client 8.0.6 (Forms6i)
- can connect to @socmut1, @socmut2

*Client 8.1.7 *
- can connect to @socmut1, @socmut2

*Anyone seen this before ?*
