Hello,

Backuping your db depends on the strategy you want to use for it:

cold backup, so you can use EXP (export) utility
online backup, so you have to copy control files, redo logs, init.ora file, archived logs, and save your datafiles by the command: alter tablespace tablespace_name begin backup; ! copy location_of_datafile(full_path) location_of_backup alter tablespace tablespace_name end backup;
