Tom's book is excellent. But it is no place to start. I would go with 8i. And
with one of the following books though I hate the names ... "Oracle 8i for
dummies" and "Oracle 8 How To". Another good starting point is the examples in
the OCP exam preparation books though some of the books contain many errors.
