I can't comment on 8.0.5. It looks like the Oracle-well-informed have given you the lowdown. But MS NT4 SP3 I recall distantly as bad news. Y2k issues? I can't remember. Don't go there if you can avoid it.....Hopefully you can convince your superiors that this is a poor idea and another solution should be found.

Why do the words "MS" "SP" and "Bad news" appearing in the same sentence surprise no-one? Can't imagine....
