Why not?
Microsux has tightly integrated it's browser with the rest of the O/S,
and chances are the installation of Internet Exploder 6 also updates
the winsocks dll's, so the TCP/IP layer. If the only difference
between two installs (apart from the Pentium 4 issue) is Internet
Exploder 6, I wouldn't hesitate.
