To Koert54, Well, quite a list of scenarios that you've got. Mind if I test them and put them under the faq? By the way, you are right. My bad to put it under the title Disaster Recovery. It's more basic Backup and Recovery. I don't seem to find it in www.lazydba.com. Maybe you should post the precise link.

I will put the "Loss of all archived logs" in later.

There got to be more scenarios cuz I am trying to come up with the most complete list!!
