working directory when using ed in sqlplus

Hi Everybody,



In one of my sun boxes, whenever I try to use ed, it will try to open
file under $ORACLE_PATH.  Unset $ORACLE_PATH solved the problem. 
However, I have many boexes with $ORACLE_PATH set and do not have this
problem (using the current directory where I start sqlplus).  There
must something else I need to set.  My editfile for sqlplus is the
default.


Does anybody have any idea?
