We are encounterinmg what looks suspiciously to me like a known bug in Oracle Intermedia 8.1.6. We get invalid number errors on update,drop or resync of an intermedia index. Now the server has been patched to 8.1.6.3, However metalink quite clearly states that there is a separate intermedia patchset, and the patchsets for 8.1.6 do not refer to intermedia in the readmes.

So far I have been advised to apply the 8.1.6.3 server patchset - advice I won't be taking since that already is the patch level. I was next advised to apply the 8.1.7.3 patchset!

So is anyone here aware of patchsets of intermedia on 8.1.6 and if so how the b**y h**l do I get Oracle to either send me them or give me a download location.
