When installing Oracle Server 9.0.1 on Suse Linux distribution 7.3, I had the same confusion as the installer prompted for a path, presumably to JDK. This is not mentioned in Suze's document: http://www.suse.de/en/support/oracle/db/9i_73.html But it is mentioned in:
http://www.informatik.uni-freiburg.de/~dbis/lehre/db-prakt-sql-ws0102/oracle-linux.html Both are valuable documents when installing 9i on Suze or Slackware Linux.
