I really dont think you have to worry about rebuilding indexes online...just make sure you have enough space of course.

You mentioned an accidental deletion of a table...thats not a problem with the index or Oracle software, it is a problem between keyboard and chair.

Automate the process and test it on a test instance before you deploy it.

Also, why are you rebuilding the indexes? Is this a frequent event? If so, you may have a design issue. Received on Mon Feb 11 2002 - 18:19:06 CST
