Hi,

I found a solution to my probleme ... and I have now the same performance in 8.1.7 and 8.1.6 databases.

The main diffrence between the two releases was the hidden parameter

   _or_expand_nvl_predicate

In 8.1.7, the value is "TRUE". It was "FALSE" in 8.1.6.

In my application, I have a lot of queries with " ... where nlv(...)" and with this parameter to TRUE, Oracle rewrite the queries.

The Note:94064.1 on metalink explain the effect of this parameter

Dias
