Hi,
I found a solution to my probleme ... and I have now the same performance in 8.1.7 and 8.1.6 databases.
The main diffrence between the two releases was the hidden parameter
_or_expand_nvl_predicate
In 8.1.7, the value is "TRUE". It was "FALSE" in 8.1.6.
In my application, I have a lot of queries with " ... where nlv(...)" and with this parameter to TRUE, Oracle rewrite the queries.
