  I'm afraid that's true, I just installed 9i Enterprise on my computer, the installation size is 1.7G, after playing with it for a few days, it grew to 3.9G, no big deal to me, I have 2 disks with 95G capacity, I got it over a year ago. Nowadays hard drive is so much cheaper, just get yourself a 40G HD for about $200, you're doing yourself a big favour.
