Oracle and Itanium

Does Oracle 9i support the 64-bit Itanium processor for NT/XP Servers?  Is
9i 64-bit enabled or optimized?  I've heard that 32-bit programs run slowly
on the Itanium.  Oracle web sit doesn't seem to mention itanium except the
open-VMS guys who say they may have a product next year.
