I have Oracle 9i successfully instaled on one Oracle machine. I has libc version libc-2.2.1.so, and kernel 2.4.17. Now I'm trying to istall it on a second machine with libc version libc-2.2.4.so, and kernel version 2.4.17. However the installer keeps core dumping.

Is there a way to get 9i installed on this machine? I know that oracle issued a patch to allow 8 to be installed using a later version of libc.

Thanks for any advice on this.
