Hello,

I'm trying to install Oracle 8.1.7 on Linux RH7.2. All the environment is setup properly (I've read and tried number of documents).
When I run "./runIstaller" nothing happens. It gives me a message
"Initializing Java Virtual Machine from ...Please wait" and that's it.
I can't find any output files or anything. "top" shows that process
"jre" is using ~98% of CPU time. It looks like something wrong with
JRE, but I have no idea what.

Can somebody please help me. Received on Tue Jan 29 2002 - 16:12:36 CST
