I'd agree with you if I could come up with a single example in my experience where someone was hired at Boeing, or AT&T, or anywhere else I consult based on an OCP: I can't.

But that doesn't mean one shouldn't study for it and pass it. I just like to lower expectations to a point that coincides with my experience in the marketplace.

As had been said before ... I can't even think of a single time when, during an interview, I have either asked, or been asked, about an OCP.
