TNSNAMES - Listener problem

Am using Oracle 9i(Enterprise) on WIN2K at home, in a non-networked environment. It seems that with increasing frequency, I'm getting this error message, particularly when I attempt to logon from the console, eg. ORA - 12541 - TNS: no listener. I then have to leave the Console and start the listener service manually. I know that the listener has been started before I access the Console, because I've checked it. Seems that this error only happens when I'm in the Console. Other than that, the DB works great. Any ideas??? Received on Fri Jan 25 2002 - 02:46:08 CST
