yes, but not for any heavy production environment. No matter how big the hardware resources you have.

Do NOT forget this: Microsoft in their NT admin courses *specifically* recommends against two SQL Server installations in a heavy production server, no matter how many resources you have. Don't do that with Oracle and SQL Server, it's not fair to both products.
