snapshot fails

Hi all
i have nt4 domain; oracle installed on win2000 server member The snapshot was established from remote location (win nt40)

After domain upgrade to win2000:
1. the snapshot stops with error:
authentification adapter inicialization error: I even can't select from tables wtih that dblink with the same error 2. there are 2 instances on this machine. after restart of machine the instances services start, but the database not start.
I must connect svrmgrl and run:
startup pfile=c:\oracle\dev\pfile\initpfile.ora

whats hapened then i upgrade nt domain,??????
