I've been running RedHat Linux 6.2 on a Dell Inspirion 4000 with Oracle8i for several months now. The problems I've run into were at install time, and solutions are well documented on Oracle's web site, in the doc set, or elsewhere on the web. I'm not blaming Debian, I'm not a RedHat fanatic. I'm just saying my has worked OK.

If you're seeking your OCP, you might try our web site. We have over 1,000 Oracle related questions (multiple-choice, true-false).

Good luck,
jc
