Hi,

connect to the machine with the 8.1.6 installation and use the export utility from here. Maybe you have to set up the tnsnames.ora, but that's all. exp is not restricted to local databases, you can export any accessible database.

ora816> exp userid=system/password_at_sid817 owner=... tables=... ora816> imp userid=system/password fromuser=... touser=...
