I'm getting ORA-01031 when calling DBMS_REDEFINITION. Following Oracle9i Admin Guide, page 15-15, I granted CREATE/ALTER/LOCK/SELECT/DROP ANY TABLE, and execute on DBMS_REDEFINITION to the user. I also granted RESOURCE role as it includes UNLIMITED TABLESPACE.

The user can execute DBMS_REDEFINITION.CAN_REDEF_TABLE without problems, but gets ORA-01031 while trying to execute DBMS_REDEFINITION.START_REDEF_TABLE. It works after I granted the DBA role, so what is it that was mssing? Received on Wed Dec 26 2001 - 19:09:30 CST
