Hello..


I just finished installing RedHat7.2 on my machine and downloaded Oracle
8.1.7  from otn.orcle.com


I prefer to go by http://jordan.fortwayne.com/oracle/817.html instructions
but then I find it does notexplain how to compile a kernel after changing
the Parameters.


Also the ftp site in his website requires a login/passowrd.



Please let me know what I need to do,,,
