Hi,

I use an access database to link to an ODBC Oracle database. Whenever creating a linked table the process lasts endlessly! For example, creating 260 linked tables lasts for about 3 hours!

Ik checked the server preformance monitor (NT4SP6) to check for possible bottlenecks. However, I found none. Network is 10Mbit switched, so that seems to be sufficient in terms of capacity. Searching access help files has not solved this problem.

Has anybody encountered this strange problem, or does anyobody has an idea?

Thanks in advance,
Wouter, the Netherlands. Received on Thu Nov 22 2001 - 04:15:01 CST
