If you look at the alert file during peak tranaction time and notice that the alert file is switching more than one per minute, you want to make the redo logs bigger. What you don't want to occur is the database to pause on occasion until log switches occur. You will notice the pause if logs switch constantly. Received on Tue Nov 20 2001 - 13:34:01 CST
