Hi

I have bought most of the tuning books in the past and i found the Alomari one on Unix and Oracle8i to be quite good, it covers some reasonably advanced bits and explains things quite well. If you are on windowz then its probably not the best book. Of course Steve Adams book on locks, waits etc is excellent as well.
