That's obvious. (At least, it's obvious if you understand gzip internals. :-)

Did you try gzip 1.3.2? It avoids the problem entirely. It sounds like you're wasting a lot of time hassling with gzip 1.2.4 for no particularly good reason. Received on Mon Nov 19 2001 - 19:27:08 CST
