weird tnslsnr ports?

I'm running Oracle 8.1.6 on Red Hat Linux 6.2. I noticed that when I
start up the listener, a range of ports from 32926 to 32936 (5 ports)
are opened, in addition to the default 1521. This does not seem
normal!



Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks.
