Not really. It was unstable at the beginning, but it's OK now. However, a lot of people don't bother reading on how to configure it properly and how to take best advantage of it. Result: gets a bad image.

But if you need to run >1000 concurrent connections to ORACLE, you don't have much choice than biting the bullet, learning how to use it, and do so.
