Keeping existing database

Hi all,

    I've seen an article in the past that was talking about keeping a database...

    My question is: How to keep all the databases and their configurations files except for putting it on a different drive when we have to deinstall Oracle and reinstall it??

    I'm working with Oracle 9i on a Win2K machine with SP2.
