Not really right *sizes* for all the parameters but right *performance* under which the parameters must aim to reach. One performance goal that must be reached when tuning the database is a reloads to pins ratio of 1 percent (as can be checked in v$librarycache). Another perfomance area that must be reached is buffer hit ratio which must be 90% or higher according to Oracle. The latch hit ratio must be 99 percent. Received on Sun Nov 04 2001 - 16:41:54 CST
