NT4 to W2K With Oracle Installed

Hello all,
8.1.7
NT4 SP6

Can anyone point me towards any type of documentation about what to expect if I do an upgrade of the OS to W2K? Would I be better off to remove Oracle and format both disk to do a clean install of W2K or can I get away with just upgrading the OS? Are there any gotcha's I need to be aware of? I couldn't find any documentation that addressed this situation but I know someone else must have run into this situation. My home system is set up as NTFS but I think the server at work (I'm not actually a DBA here but I'm working towards it) is still FAT. Can any body provide a little assistance or relate their experience? Thanks
