Hi,
I am going to upgrade my oracle enterprise server 8.1.5 (64 bit)
to oracle enterprise server 8.1.7 (64 bit).
Currently the OS is Sun Solaris 5.7. Some persons told me that
to install oracle 8.1.7 I have to upgrade the OS to Solaris 5.8 AKA Solaris 8.
I searched metalink for that and from the release note of 8.1.7
got that the server works on Solaris 5.7.
However I am not sure that the 64bit Oracle 8.1.7 really runs on oracle 5.7.
Can any body confirm that.
