I'm way below the 55K you mention, and I'm a consultant.
Other side of the North Sea.
My usual rate seems to be fl 200,- (about 100 euro) per hour for people
hiring me, and my hourly salary (excluding incentives) is about 25 percent
of that rate.
My company is writing red figures currently ...
