In the beginning I want to say sorry, because this is somewhat an off-topic post. However I feel that this SW has a lot common with Oracle server and here are people who know a lot about RDBMS and tools around them. So I dare to post this message here.

I need to solve some issues (mostly security ones) with test databases, especially with test data. We have a lot of sensitive data in our databases, but we also need a test data for our test environment. The problem is how to create test data without using a sensitive ones. There is no way to do this manually, because we need a millions of rows in hundreds of tables. I need a SW which can copy a data from productional database to test environment, but with consideration to sensitive ones. This SW should change (that's better) or delete sensitive data so they don't possess a security risk anymore.
My idea is to buy SW called Relational Tools from Princeton Softech. I need to know if this SW is a good one and if can solve my main problem. So If someone here has some experiences with this SW, your response will be apreciated.
Also If someone has a good experience with some other SW of this kind, please response too.

Thanks

Maybe one day I will change it and have a proper mail even for news, but right now I can be reached by this email. Received on Tue Oct 30 2001 - 02:57:28 CST
