Hi there,

   The status column of v$session actually means no ACTIVE SQL STATEMENT being executed at that particular moment. However, the users are logon. If you want, you can create user profile whereby a user who logon without doing anything will be log off as specified by the parameter IDLE_TIME. You can also limit total session per user using the parameter SESSIONS_PER_USER.
