I WAS an oracle-fan but i am shocked after I installed the version 8.1.7 with OEM 2.2. I have never seen such an unreasonable demand for the customers. This slow and unstable java-shit is not for PROFESSIONAL use. I am sorry, but I am not able to recommend Oracle as a professional tool any longer.

Try to start the Database Configuration Assistant. It will start only, if Java like it. Sometimes it starts, the other times nothing happens. The same problem during opening Databases using OEM 2.2. Sometimes it works, other times the Connection Window disappear in the great Java-Nirvana without saying good-bye to anyone.
To the great product IFS, I can say: WOW... IBS were the better name: Internet-Bugfile-System.

I am not an Microsoft-fan but this new Java-Based Oracle-Versions aren't the products I am expecting from Oracle.
