Safe recipe for
a) performance problems
b) disaster

If you *really* think about it, you won't even consider it. NFS is slow and unreliable, and the only thing that has to be really rock stable in any Oracle config is the only redo log file. The only thing that can't be hindered by network or disk slowness is the only redo log file.

If you are up for a career change you should proceed, otherwise I strongly urge you to reconsider.
