Redo logs

I have this configuration, in my database, for the oracle repositori, but when i do the backup for the aplications, y stop all persons, the redo log is waiting for a lot of time:

/ORA01/oradata/repos/redo01.log 1 1 112679 10485760 1 NO ACTIVE 7053202

the init.ora are:

log_checkpoint_interval = 10000
log_checkpoint_timeout = 0
db_block_size = 8192
