That parameter was a tuning parameter in earlier versions oracle.

THe DBWR internal write batch size was a function

 of db files and increasing that will artificially inflate the

 write batch size and it will impact the peformance negatively.

 Starting from Oracle 8 this is nomore a tuning paramter. You
