How to upgrade to Oracle9i

Hi,

I want to upgrade my current database(8.0.5 on WinNT) to 9i.

Though i installed Oracle i never done upgrades in the past.Could someone help me with information on how to upgrade to 9i.

1)If i install 9i into a different Oracle_Home,should i change anything
on the client apllications.
2)Can i use "DB Name" and "Connect string" (default names) same as the old
database?

3)Documention says,inorder to upgrade to 9i, an Oracle8 database must be atleast realeas8.0.6, is that true?

Are there any issues i should be aware of.
