Much, much better now. - s1011.log (0/1)

Going back to a few months ago when things were really dicey for Dirk the Daring and his crappy 8.0.6.0 DB with Peoplesoft which wouldn't use indexes no matter what.

Here are the latest logs and sar stuff for the day. Much more under control now. Major changes:

1- Rework of LRU latches and their allocation to buffer caches.
2- Rework the three buffer caches and what goes into which one.
3- Rework of RBSegs to reduce incidence of ORA-1555.
4- Much, much larger redo logs.
5- Back to CHOOSE.
6- Re-order of columns on some of the critical indexes.
7- Get rid of hash-join.  It's broken. Don't care what ORACLE says.
