Cursors with multiple selects

what do you mean with multiple selects,
a) do you want to select more columns and have same number of rows (join 2 tables)
or b) do you want to select same structure from more than one table (-> use union, minus or others)

I'm wondering if it is possible to fill in a cursor in another way that "OPEN CURSOR FOR SELECT...". Eg, is it possible to fiil in it with several select ?
